Kickplates,
attached to each upright with a couple of screws,
prevent wheelchair wheels from falling off the edge of the ramp.
A trick that's
useful in areas where it snows (not in Dallas!):
attach the kickplates a few inches above the deck
surface, allowing the snow to be shoveled underneath.
